There has been a notable surge in the popularity of micro-dosing with Magic Mushrooms, attributed to its capacity for enhancing mood and mental well-being. This practice entails ingesting small, sub-perceptual amounts of psychedelic mushrooms, primarily containing psilocybin.

Taking a “micro-dose” of magic mushrooms is defined as 1% – 10% of a normal dose – normal dose being anywhere from 1-3 grams depending on the person. (In other words 0.1g to 0.3g is the recommended micro-dosing level). This minimal amount will not trigger hallucinations but is enough to enhance mental functions.

Individuals adopt diverse schedules for micro-dosing, For those curious about trying micro-dosing, there are various protocols that differ in the frequency of routines and off days, with some choosing daily doses while others prefer alternating dosing and rest days.  A popular routine involves micro-dosing every 3 days. The rationale behind this schedule is the possibility of a lasting residual effect from each micro-dose, extending for 1 to 2 days after administration. Other common practices include 1-2 days between doses or a 3 days on 1-2 days off, to ensure a balanced and intentional micro-dosing experience.

Proponents of micro-dosing proclaim a myriad of benefits, including heightened creativity, improved focus and mental lucidity. Studies have shown caffeine and alcohol cessation while reliving symptoms of depression and anxiety.

It is important to note, micro-dosing is curious because supporters claim to not experience the usual changes in consciousness seen with regular doses but still report significant psychological benefits from regular use.
